The Walt Disney Studios just announced that the live-action film Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie, will be released March 14, 2014 in the United States. Jolie will portray Disney’s iconic villianess from the animated classic Sleeping Beauty as the new film will be told from her perspecitve. The film will explore the origins of the evil fairy and what her motivations for cursing Princess Aurora.
