Get ready Disney television animation fans, Milo Murphy’s Law is coming!

Dan Povenmire and Jeff, “Swampy” Marsh, the creators of the hugely successful Phineas and Ferb are back with a brand new show premiering on Disney XD, this October 3rd, Milo Murphy’s Law!

Milo Murphy’s Law stars “Weird Al” Yankovic as the titular Milo Murphy, and follows the adventures of a boy whose bad luck is a hereditary condition passed down from his great-great-great-great grandfather, Edward A. Murphy Jr., the man who defined Murphy’s Law. The law which states, “Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.” While Milo may be incredibly prone to misfortune, he’s just so optimistic that his catastrophes become adventures!

Check out the first look at the show’s title sequence here, with the theme song, sung by Weird Al himself!

In addition to Weird Al as Milo Murphy, the other main characters in the show include Milo’s best friends, Zach and Melissa, voiced by MeKai Curtis and Sabrina Carpenter, his sister Sara, voiced by Kate Micucci, and his parents, voiced by Diedrich Bader, and Pamela Adlon.

The show has also signed on a few big names for the extended cast. Christian Slater is playing Elliot, a crossing guard who has made it his mission to protect the world from Milo’s bad luck. Ming-Na Wen and Bret Dalton are playing time travel agents, Savannah and Brick, while Jemaine Clement is playing time traveler, Dr. Zone with Sophie Winkleman as his sidekick, Time Ape.

Other recurring voice actors include, Phineas and Ferb star Vincent Martella, Vanessa Williams, Sarah Chalke, Dee Bradley Baker, Mackenzie Phillips, Kevin Michael Richardson, Chrissie Fit, Greg Cipes, and Michael Culross, as well as show runners Dan Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh, because of course they’re in the show too.

Like Phineas and Ferb, and most other current cartoons, Milo Murphy’s Law will run two, 11 minute cartoons in each episode. The show will premiere on October 3rd, but users of Disney XD’s app will be able to watch the episode early on September 26, at which time it will also be available on their YouTube channel.
