Disney will bring the magic of Tangled to life aboard the Disney Cruise Line with Tangled: The Musical. Debuting on the Disney Magic ship this November, the stage show will take guests through 11 different Bavarian-inspired locales and will highlight the lush and vibrant world of the film.

In this behind-the-scenes video courtesy of Disney Parks Blog, set designer Brad Kaye explains the challenges of adapting the beloved film to the stage. One major challenge was to recreate the iconic and memorable locations from Tangled while putting a fresh spin on them. Kaye also designed scenery for Disney’s Aladdin—A Musical Spectacular on the Disney Fantasy.

The video offers a first look at art from the stage show, including Rapunzel’s tower and The Snuggly Duckling. An exciting part of the musical is that Alan Menken (composer) and Glenn Slater (lyricist) are returning to write three new original songs, created just for the show.

Tangled: The Musical has us ready to sail away on a Disney Cruise! What about you?
