After releasing two films this year, Pixar will be back in 2016 with one, highly anticipated, sequel: Finding Dory! Entertainment Weekly revealed a new look at the film and introduced two new characters in its first look at 2016’s most exciting releases.

In Finding Dory all of your favorite characters from the original movie – including Nemo, Marlin, and obviously Dory – will return, but we’ll also be introduced to a whole new cast of characters who will play major parts in the movie. Two of these characters are Bailey (Ty Burrell) and Destiny (Kaitlin Olson). Dory meets these characters as she goes on a journey to find her long-lost parents. The rehabilitation center at a marine life facility is where she meets Burrell’s snub-nosed beluga whale, Bailey, and his friend Destiny, a sweet whale shark.

“My character isn’t great at his own sonar capability, and Destiny has trouble swimming straight,” Burrell told Entertainment Weekly. The duo, however, are supposed to play a major part in reuniting Dory with her family. “We totally get on each other’s nerves,” Olson says. “I like to think I’m a shark, but Bailey calls me a whale, and I make fun of his head, because it’s gigantic.”

Burrell and Olson actually had some recording sessions together, which is quite rare in feature animation. “We would just play off each other,” Olson reveals. “Though to be honest, I was probably the boss of the entire situation, because I always like to be.”

“There’s always a deeper message with Pixar, and so much of it is that these characters are trying to find faith in themselves,” Burrell says. “They’re trying to overcome their insecurities in order to help somebody in need.”

Finding Dory opens in theaters June 17, 2016.

What do you think of these new characters? Are you excited for Finding Dory?
