A new trailer for DreamWorks Animation’s Kung Fu Panda 3 may not pop around until at least sometime later in the fall, but for those planning to travel abroad in October (specifically to Italy), you might get to see the next best thing.
As reported by Variety earlier this month, attendees at this year’s VIEW Conference in Turin, Italy, will get an early look at new footage from Kung Fu Panda 3 during a special presentation that will be hosted by the film’s co-director Alessandro Carloni. The VIEW Conference, which brings together entertainment industry professionals to learn about trends in animation, VFX, and digital media, will commence on October 19 and run through the 23rd.
Much like with the Annecy Film Festival, the VIEW Conference offers an eclectic mix of panels, keynotes, workshops, and masterclasses. Asides from Carloni, other prominent figures and professionals in animation who will be in attendance are Randy Thom (sound director on The Peanuts Movie), Jorge Gutierrez (director of The Book of Life), Mark Osborne (director of The Little Prince), Kim White (director of photography at Pixar), Scott Carroll (supervising animator at Blue Sky Studios), Richard Starzak (writer and co-director of Shaun the Sheep Movie), and Jason Reisig (head of character animation at DreamWorks Animation).
As with the Annecy film festival, a new trailer for Kung Fu Panda 3 might drop on the web at some point during the event, so keep your eyes peeled.
For more information, visit their website. Kung Fu Panda 3 arrives in theaters on January 29, 2016.
What do you think? If you are planning on traveling abroad this fall, will you be attending this event?
