According to multiple news sources including TheWrap, the anticipated animated Carmen Sandiego series finally has a release date! The series will debut on Netflix on January 18, 2019.

The series will feature the voice talents of Gina Rodriguez (as the titular thief) along with Finn Wolfhard. The series will consist of 20 episodes and will debut before Netflix’s live-action Carmen Sandiego film debuts (also starring Gina Rodriguez in the titular role).

Not much else is known yet about the animated series including what the official title will be. But based on the PC games from the 1990s that the series is based on, it may be safe to assume that the series will teach geography via Carmen Sandiego stealing items from all around the world.
