Daily Debate: What Unpopular Animated Film Do You Actually Love?

Admit it. There’s that one animated film that, despite how bad everyone else says it is, you love and holds a special place in your heart.

We recently reviewed Thumbelina on the Animation Addicts Podcast, which is a far cry from a masterpiece with a 25% score on Rotten Tomatoes. That being said, there are still those who absolutely love this film, no ifs, ands or buts about it. Whether it’s due to nostalgia googles or the fact that they actually think it’s a good film, popular opinion and reason can’t persuade them otherwise.

For me, it’s The Swan Princess. Sure, it’s not universally despised, but I’m also self-aware enough to realize that it’s not considered one of the greatest animated films of all time. But it doesn’t matter, I get excited every time it’s on and smile as soon as I hear that opening number “This Is My Idea.”

Now it’s your turn! (This is going to be fun).

What universally despited animated film do you actually love?
