Coming off a successful premiere weekend during whuch it brought in an impressive 6.6 million viewers, Disney’s Descendants is getting animated! Disney Channel has announced Descendants: Wicked World, a new series of CGI animated shorts that will premiere this September.
We currently don’t have a lot of information about the new series, but it appears that the animated show will feature largely the same premise as the film. It will follow the misadventures of villain kids Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay during their days at Auradon Prep. The animated characters seem to be closely modeled after their live-action counterparts, and also take inspiration from the Descendants doll line.
