Voice Actor John Stephenson Dies at 91

Sadly, voice actor John Stephenson passed away on May 15. The 91-year-old was a veteran in the field of acting/voice acting with over 50 years of credits. His most famous voice acting roles include those of Fred’s boss, Mr. Slate, on The Flintstones,

Dr. Benton Quest on Jonny Quest,

and Luke and Blubber Bear on Wacky Races.

Mr. Stephenson’s other credits include The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show, Perry Mason, Gomer Pyle: USMC, Dragnet 1967, Hogan’s Heroes, Charlotte’s Web, Wait Till Your Father Gets Home, Jeannie, The Fantastic Four, The Return of the King, The Hobbit, Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends, G.I. Joe, The Transformers, and various Scooby-Doo projects with Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra-Doo as his last film credit.

Mr. Stephenson was suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease at the time of his death. He will be missed!
