Disney XD has announced that Star Wars Rebels will return sooner than expected. Originally thought to be returning in the fall, the show will now premiere on June 20^th at 9:00 pm on Disney XD, with just the first episode, before returning to a regular schedule in the fall.

The episode will premiere with an hour-long episode entitled, “The Siege of Lothal,” and will feature the return of some popular Star Wars characters.

Fans of Ahsoka Tano were thrilled to see their favorite Togruta return in the season 1 finale, and they will be pleased to know that she will be a pivotal part of season 2.

Aside from Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka, other returning guest cast for season 2 will include Dee Bradley Baker as Captain Rex and various other clones, as well as James Earl Jones himself, as Darth Vader who will play a huge role in the season premiere.
