‘The Fearsome Beastie’ to be Adapted as CG Film

the-fearsome-beastie

According to Animation Magazine, the award-winning children’s book, The Fearsome Beastie, will be adapted as a CG animated film. Written by Giles Paley-Phillips, the People’s Book Prize-winning tale is about “a ‘beastie’ who is searching for something to eat and uses a number of clever tricks to try to fool his favorite snack: children.”

The film adaptation will utilize the voice talents of actors Brian Blessed, Alison Steadman, and Lizzie Waterworth. The film, due for release later this year, will be produced by Slurpy Studios and helmed by two directors, Katie Steed and Jon Hunt.

Are you excited about this film adaptation? Were you a fan of the original children’s book? What do you think about the attached cast and crew? Let us know in the comments below!
