When one thinks of classic comedians, one may think of Abbott and Costello, Charlie Chaplin, the Marx Brothers, Buster Keaton, The Three Stooges, or the subject of this article: Laurel & Hardy. For those who don’t know, Laurel & Hardy were a comedic duo famous for their appearances in movies from the 20s to the late 40s/early 50s.

They even had their own Hanna-Barbera cartoon series in 1966. Now, according to Deadline, a new cartoon series is set to be made about them. Gaumont Animation has picked up the rights to create a new traditionally animated series based on the comedic duo. The new series will comprise 78 episodes and be aimed “at 5-8 year old kids.”
