Hello and welcome to a brand new article series on Rotoscopers called What You Missed!
Now, what’s the series about? To put it simply, it’s a series of news articles from last year that, because of our busy individual schedules, either fell by the wayside or simply off our radar. Think of this series as a way of getting caught up with the news stories that you yourself may have missed out on during the 2014 year in animation.
Now then, on to our first article.
Ratchet & Clank E3 Trailer
Out of all the films set to hit theaters this year, the video game adaptation Ratchet & Clank still remains a curiosity, at least when it comes to its release window. Ever since it was announced alongside Sly Cooper, the film has been on the radars of many an animation and video game fan.
While a solid release date is still yet to be determined, The makers behind the movie did treat fans to a surprise teaser trailer during last year’s E3, which you can watch here:
It’s not a very long trailer (just barely a minute and five seconds), but it does give a much clearer insight into the film’s main storyline (which serves as an origin story that will retell the events of the first game).
The film is directed by Kevin Munroe and Jericca Cleland and is written by the video game franchise’s frequent writer TJ Fixman, in addition to featuring the original voice cast from the video games.
Ratchet & Clank will bow in theaters sometime early this year.
What do you think? Does the Ratchet & Clank trailer make you more excited for the film (when it comes out)?
