Best Animated Feature Rotoscopers

Welcome to another round of coverage in our Best Animated Feature series.

We now focus our attention to another committee who awarded not one, but two of last year’s animated films with high honors.

Cartoon Brew reported last month that the National Film Board of Review has named How to Train Your Dragon 2 its best animated feature of 2014, whilst also naming The LEGO Movie among its top ten films of the year in addition to awarding it Best Original Screenplay.

Again, as noted by the article, it’s rare that an animated feature is given the honor of ‘Best Original Screenplay’. It may very well be a sign that animated films are starting to be taken a tad more seriously during awards season (to say nothing of the fact that 20 films were submitted for consideration at the Oscars).

We’ll make sure to keep the coverage going as we wrap up our Best Animated Feature series!

What do you think? Are you glad these films won?
