It’s just a few short weeks until Disney’s new superhero animated film Big Hero 6 hits theatres. Most of the promotional material has focused on the protagonist Hiro and his robot companion Baymax, with a spattering of the other Big Hero 6 team in there.

But Disney just released a new set of videos called “Meet the Team”, where we get more insight into the other team members and their personalities. The videos are set in the science lab where Tadashi, Hiro’s older brother, and his friends work. It’s Hiro’s first time in the lab, so his first time meeting the characters is our first time meeting them as well.

GoGo

GoGo’s clip focuses on her tough-as-nails, yet super-smart persona. She meets Hiro for the first time, who is touring the “nerd lab” where Tadashi and his friends work. Hiro is impressed by a bike that features tireless wheels with “electro-mag suspension.” Pretty neat. But, not they’re not good enough to GoGo. She tosses one in the trash bin (with a bunch of other prototypes that didn’t meet her standards), which shows GoGo’s desire for perfection.

Wasabi

Wasabi will cut you to your core. And if you’re an apple, then that’s literally. In this scene, the neurotic and almost OCD Wasabi shows off his new device–a laser-induced plasma–which he uses to slice an apple into a hundred paper-thin slices. We also see quickly that his obsession with neatness is a big weakness and will be a point of contention between him and the other more sloppy members of the team.

Honey Lemon

Alright, I already found my girl crush. In Honey Lemon’s video, she excitedly and passionately shows Hiro the process of “chemical metal embrittlement” (basically using chemicals to reconfigure the cellular structure of metal to make it brittle and break). Honey Lemon is very loud, but super adorable and endearing. She also is a super-smart science whiz, which is a huge plus.

Fred

Next up, Fred. What’s his science project? Well, he doesn’t have one. He’s actually not even a student at San Fransokyo Tech. He’s just a major science enthusiast. We see him sporting a dragon suit “School mascot by day, but my night…I’m also a school mascot.”

Tadashi – “Unbelievable” Clip

We also got a new clip showing Hiro and Tadashi interact. In all the trailers so far, we have seen how much Hiro loves Tadashi, but haven’t gotten much interaction between the brothers. Well, looks like things aren’t as peachy as the trailers made it seem. Tadashi wants more for his brother, but Hiro just wants to fight robots all day long. Hiro is obstinate and challenges authority and institutional learning. “What? Go to college like you? So people can tell me stuff I already know?” It’s clear Tadashi cares for Hiro, but Hiro is just young and, well, wants to fight robots. Who can blame him?

Big Hero 6 hits theatres November 7, 2014.
