Who would have thought that our first official look at the character from DreamWorks’ 2015 film B.O.O. Bureau of Otherworldly Operations would come from a coloring book?

We got the logo a while ago, but there has been no other official word about the movie. But looks like a coloring book called Learn to Draw Dreamworks’ B.O.O.: Featuring Jackson Moss and all your favorite otherworldly haunts and heroes! is how we’re getting our first glimpse. The cover shows three B.O.O. ghost agents, including the film’s main character Jackson Moss (on the cover, he’s the one in the bottom left).

We caught a glimpse of Jackson Moss in a display at the Licensing Expo this summer. Looking at the fully rendered design, he looks great. Moss is married (twice actually), so his design is notably older, showing that he’s a man, not a boy. But he definitely comes off as the studly hero. There hasn’t been much hype about this film yet, but if these designs are any indication, it’ll be something exciting to look out for next summer.

Since the other characters haven’t been officially announced, we’re not sure which character is who. But most likely the girl sketched in the middle is Watts. The other two could be Captain Book, Carol Sue or Henry.

The book is available to buy on May 1, 2015. You can pre-order the book on Amazon.

”This supernatural action comedy follows two bumbling apparitions who find themselves in an extraordinary after-life adventure when they join the Bureau of Otherworldly Operations (B.O.O.) – the ghost world’s elite counter-haunting unit – and ultimately must face off against the planet’s greatest haunter.”

B.O.O. Bureau of Otherworldly Operations hits theatres June 5, 2015.

What do you think of the characters and design of ‘B.O.O.’?
