When DreamWorks released Mr. Peabody & Sherman earlier his year everyone was really excited to also see a new Rocky and Bullwinkle short that was supposed to release in front of it. Unfortunately DreamWorks decided to release a promo short for Home, an upcoming feature that recently got pushed back a few months. Despite we still don’t know when to expect the short, CEICO released a new TV commercial featuring the characters from the DreamWorks short.
This commercial not only gives a first look at the final CG character designs of these classic Jay Ward characters, but also a first look at the animation and characters’ voices! Tom Kenny voices Bullwinkle in the short and he sounds a lot like the original Bullwinkle who was voiced by Bill Scott. June Foray who also voiced Rocky in the original Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons returned to voice her in this short and for someone who’s 95 she does an amazing job and her voice sounds identical her voice 50 years ago.
The Rocky and Bullwinkle short, directed by Beauty and the Beast director Gary Trousdale, is rumored to release on the Mr. Peabody & Sherman DVD and Blu-ray this October.
