sailor-moon-blu-ray-rereleaseIf you have been aching for Sailor Moon to finally take it’s destined place on your DVD shelf, you are in ridiculous luck! Not only will VIZ Media be releasing the series in its entirety via Hulu and Neon Alley one episode a week starting Monday May 19th, 2014, but come this fall, the first installment of the Blu-ray/DVD box set will be released for the masses to enjoy in both English subtitles and English dub.

*Obligatory fangirl SQUEAL!*

Now that I’m sure you’re done jumping up and down and screaming out your lungs, like I just did, you’re probably wondering, “Hmmm, first installment of the box set?? Does that mean I buy it right away or wait for a full and complete box set?!” Short answer, I have no idea. I, for one, have waited for this for so long that I will probably jump on the installments as they are released instead of waiting to see if there will be an all encompassing set.

For those of you who have Hulu or access to Neon Alley and will be enjoying this series starting Monday, yay you. For those of us who don’t, here is the trailer VIZ Media has released in the meantime.

VIZ Media also mentions on the youtube video description that they will be at the Anime Expo this year in Los Angeles, so stopping over at their booth on July 5th, 2014 is probably an awesome idea.

Usagi Tsukino is a clumsy but kindhearted teenage girl who transforms into the powerful guardian of love and justice, Sailor Moon. Meeting allies along the way who share similar fates, Usagi and her team of planetary Sailor Guardians fight to protect the universe from forces of evil and total annihilation.
