The Venture Bros. fans, the wait is over. It’s back to the Venture compound for an epic fifth outing of the popular animated series starring the Venture family. Featuring all eight episodes from its fifth season plus two popular bonus episodes – “A Very Venture Halloween” and “From the Ladle to the Grave: The Shallow Gravy Story.” Both the Blu-ra and DVD include deleted scenes and episode commentaries from series creator Jackson Publick and fellow writer, director and executive producer Doc Hammer.

The fifth season of The Venture Bros. picks up moments after the stunning climax of season four and hits the ground running for a season of globe-trotting adventures and stay-at-home suspense. But no matter where it runs—from the steamy jungles of Central America, to the sparkling sands of the Greek Islands, to the seedy back alleys of Tangier, to the jagged cliffs of By-Golly Gulch—the Venture family can’t escape the treachery of enemies old, new, and within.

After a long wait, you can finally have the 5th Season of The Venture Bros. to watch whenever you want! The Venture Bros. by Adult Swim combines everything you want in a cartoon: unpredictability, wackiness, crazy antics, and great voice acting. The animation, especially on Blu-ray, was well-defined and stunning. Action scenes jump out at you and fill the screen with vivid lights. I hardly expected guests like Aziz Ansari, Bill Hader, and Gilian Jacobs to show up, but was pleasantly surprised by their appearance.

Now I have no history of watching The Venture Bros. at all, but I immediately jumped in and was surprised at how hilarious and enjoyable the series was.  That said, it takes a certain humor to “get” some of the ridiculousness of the situations, but even then, having an army of Frankenstein’s killing evil scientists would entertain anyone. While the season may feel short with only eight episodes, contained in both the Blu-ray and DVD are enough bonus material in the form of two bonus episodes, deleted scenes and commentary from the creator to pass you over until next season. If you’re a fan of the series, or just a fan in Adult Swim cartoons in general, Season 5 of The Venture Bros. is good time for all. Looking for more? Check out this quick preview and clip of this season below and be sure to pick up the Blu-Ray/DVD in stores today!
