Pixar took the stage at the D23 Expo to talk about its upcoming movies, including its upcoming 2015 film Inside Out. Here’s a breakdown of everything that was talked about:
Pete Docter, the film’s director, took the stage to present his movie along with the film’s producer, Jonas Rivera. While introducing them, John Lasseter called the film one of the most original movies he’s ever been associated with! High praise indeed!
Inside Out will focus on a girl, whose mind we’ll see inside of, named Riley. She’s blonde and loves sports, especially hockey. She moves with her family from Minnesota to San Francisco, an event which is very emotionally turbulent time in her life. As a result, Riley’s emotions will be the stars of the movie:
- Lewis Black will voice “Anger”.
- Mindy Kaling voices “Disgust”.
- Amy Poehler will voice “Joy”.
- Bill Hader (again!) will lend his voice to “Fear”.
- Phyllis Smith will play “Sadness”.
The audience got to see a bit of footage and storyboards and they appear to be amazing. It’s a REALLY exciting movie and we’re pumped to finally hear more about the plot.
Inside Out hits theatres June 19, 2015.
