Check Out The New ‘Despicable Me 2’ Trailer!

Apple iTunes Trailers released a new trailer today for this summer’s Despicable Me 2!

The trailer gives a bit more insight about the plot in the sequel: mainly that Gru gets kidnapped by the AVL or “Anti-Villian League.” The clips do a great job of establishing Gru’s paternal relationship with the girls (who are just as funny as ever). And, of course, it’s filled with minions.

This trailer calmed my doubts that the sequel wouldn’t have the same original feel as the first film. Based on this, Despicable Me 2 still feels fresh, witty and very Despicable Me, which we have all come to love. I have no doubt that this film will be an even bigger success than the first considering both adults and kids alike fell in love with the first. I’m actually pretty pumped to see the film now, which is a good thing considering those horrible Barbara Ann teaser trailers with the minions drove me insane.
