Pixar’s 2007 hit Ratatouille is getting its own attraction at Disneyland Resort Paris, first reported by Stitch Kingdom and confirmed yesterday by Euro Disney S.C.A., the destination’s operating company.
The ride will make its home in the Walt Disney Studios park (Paris’s equivalent to Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Florida). While no specifics have been announced, including even what kind of ride it will be (Fantasyland-style? Roller coaster? Something else?), Disney has said it will be a “romantic, larger-than-life, Parisan experience.”
This marks the first time that Ratatouille has been used in such a large capacity by Walt Disney Imagineering. Aside from sporadic meet & greets with Remy and Emile and minimal dining experiences here and there, the film has hardly been utilized in the Disney theme parks, particularly in comparison to its Pixar siblings. If the film is to be implemented anywhere, though, Paris is the perfect place.
