Off-Life-Of-Timothy-Green-Blu-Ray-CoverWhat if a little boy grew out of your garden? Well, that’s the tale that Disney’s cute live-action film, The Odd Life of Timothy Green tells. It sounds a bit quirky, but you’ll soon fall in love with Timothy Green.

The Film ★★★ 1/2
The Odd Life of Timothy Green tells the story of a young couple, Cindy (Jennifer Garner) and Jim Green (Joel Edgerton), who—after finding out they can’t have a child of their own—end up miraculously growing a child out of their garden. The boy’s name is Timothy (CJ Adams) and he joins the Green’s family. Together the three must learn how to learn and grow to become a functional, happy family.

I really enjoyed this film. From the first scene, I became invested in the Green’s plight and just wanted them to find happiness. Then once Timothy came around, I was rooting for the family so they could find their happy ending. The film is well acted by the leads Garner, Edgerton, and Adams and beautifully directed by Peter Hedges.

The Features ★★ 1/2
The bonus features weren’t the best we’ve seen, although they weren’t the worst either; all in all, they were pretty standard. The features consist of a making-of featurette, a featurette about the film’s score, a music video, an audio commentary and deleted scenes.

Final Thoughts:
The Odd Life of Timothy Green is an all-around whimsical, feel-good film. That being said, would I buy it? No. It’s a good heartfelt, family film that’s definitely worth the watch, but not worth adding to my collection.
