Sony Pictures Animation Obtains Rights to ‘Ninja vs. Samurai’

Here’s a quick newstory: apparently Sony Pictures Animation has obtained the rights to the action-animated film Ninja vs. Samurai.

According to ItsontheGrid, Adam F. Goldberg will pen the screenplay. As for any other info such as director, cast and even a simple plot synopsis…forget about it. The film is obviously still in the early stages of development.

What interests us is the film’s title itself: will this be a modern-day spin on ninjas and samurais? Or a period piece? Will it be a comedy? Or serious? We’ll keep you updated as news comes in.
