4 new international posters for DreamWorks’ upcoming animated feature Mr. Peabody & Sherman were released this week. The three French posters and one poster from the UK give us a better look at the historic characters and worlds in this movie.
French movie site called Cinemotions posted these new posters featuring Mr. Peabody, Sherman and Penny during three different historic time eras. In the first poster, we can see them during the French Revolution, the second poster sets in ancient Greece and the final poster in ancient Egypt. These eras will be central in the movie. Though we’ve already seen Mr. Peabody in the US posters in these poses, these new posters give us also a better look at Sherman and Penny in their historic clothing and in the background we have a better look at the historic settings and worlds.
This new UK poster is from a site called 50mm London. And may I just say how perfect this poster is? I love history and this poster features so many great historic characters, which we already saw in the trailers and stills like Mary Antoinette, Mona Lisa and Leonardo DaVinci. But also a lot of new characters like Mozart, Vincent van Gogh and Abraham Lincoln and I’m thrilled to see them in this movie. Now, they probably won’t be very important or central characters; however, I’m still happy about their inclusion. I also love the New York setting in Fall with all the leaves on the ground, which looks just stunning.
Mr. Peabody is a business titan, inventor, scientist, Nobel Laureate, gourmand, two-time Olympic medalist, and genius…who also happens to be a dog. Using his most ingenious invention, the WABAC machine, Mr. Peabody and his adopted boy Sherman hurtle back in time to experience world-changing events first-hand and interact with some of the greatest characters of all time. But when Sherman breaks the rules of time travel, Mr. Peabody, Sherman and his friend Penny find themselves in a race to repair history and save the future, while Mr. Peabody may face his biggest challenge yet – being a parent.
DreamWorks’ Mr. Peabody & Sherman will release in theatres March 7, 2014
