The D23 Expo is always chock full of great panels, exhibiters and, of course, merchandise. This year is no exception since the Disney Consumer Products Merchandise Preview gave us a glimpse of DCP’s upcoming products, including the Disney Store Frozen dolls of Anna and Elsa.

Ooo, pretty. We’d seen depictions of the dolls before, but these are the official photos from Disney. Personally, I really like the look of the dolls…except for that crazy hairdo on Elsa. Holy moly, bouffant!

Now regarding the faces, there seems to be some controversy on the design. Some hate them and some love them. I’m on team “love them.” I really like how their faces actually look like their CGI counterparts. (Trust me, some of my old Disney Barbies looked nothing like the real thing, so actually being able to see the resemblance is nice).

Here’s the official blurb about the Anna & Elsa Doll Set from the D23 Expo website:

Anna and Elsa Doll Set – Frozen – 11”
Join the adventure with a pair of lovely dolls inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Frozen. Anna and Elsa wear beautifully designed costumes with glittering accents and intricate detailing. Available beginning Sunday, August 11.

These dolls will be sold exclusively in Disney Stores sometime in November. And will be sold at the D23 Expo on the final day, Sunday, August 11.

Thanks to our reader Mimi for the tip!

Do you like the look of the Anna and Elsa dolls?
