<\/a>Sony Pictures Animation is celebrating 10 years in the business by hosting a 5-week animation festival, which will feature special screenings of its films, culminating in a exclusive screening of its upcoming release Hotel Translyvania<\/em>.\r\n\r\nSony Pictures Animation is partnering with ASIFA-Hollywood and Animation Magazine to host the screenings at the\u00a0Ray Harryhausen Theater in Culver City, CA. Each screening will feature Q&A with the filmmakers, rare never-before-seen and bonus material and giveaways.\r\n\r\nThe festivities will begin on Wednesday, September 5 with a showing of its first release, 2006\u2019s\u00a0Open Season<\/em>. Screenings of its other films\u2014Surf\u2019s Up<\/em>,\u00a0Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs<\/em>, The Smurfs<\/em>\u00a0and Hotel Translyvania<\/em>\u2014will subsequently be held each week thereafter on Thursday.\r\n\r\nFor a fan of animation, this will definitley be an delightful event.
