Hell & Back is the debut stop-motion movie from ShadowMachine, the animation studio that brought us Robot Chicken and TripTank. Now, they give us another adult-based comedy about three friends and their misadventure through hell. After a long time with little to nothing to go on a full trailer is finally here! A very R-rated trailer.

WARNING: the following trailer contains explicit content, including dialogue and imagery that may not be appropriate for all audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.

Several animators on the movie were also previously involved in Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, and you can certainly tell from the slick and stylized creepy animation (something I am pleasantly surprised at). Crude humor doesn’t have to mean crude animation. LA-based studio ShadowMachine is also currently working on Guillermo del Toro’s dark take on Pinocchio.

The voice cast includes Nick Swardson, Mila Kunis, Danny McBride, Rob Riggle, T.J. Miller, Jennifer Coolidge, Bob Odenkirk, and Susan Sarandon.

Hell & Back will hit theaters just in time for Halloween on October 2.

What do you think of the Hell & Back trailer? Will you see it in theaters?
