After jockeying between studios, scripts, and development hell since 2001, and finally landing at Disney in 2013, the teaser trailer for Artemis Fowldropped last night to excited and highly expectant fans of Eoin Colfer’s book series of the same name.
Based on the story of a rich genius 12-year-old (Ferdia Shaw), his butler Butler (Nonso Anozie), and their discovery of the other beings hidden amongst & apart from the human world, Disney’s adaptation takes on the events of the first Colfer book of the series. Kenneth Branagh directs, Patrick Doyle composes, and several big names have joined the cast. Lara McDonnell (The Delinquent Season) is Captain Holly Short, and the rest of the cast includes Judi Dench, Josh Gad, Hong Chau, and Nikesh Patel.
