Steven!

Steven Universe fans, rejoice! Our season of suffering is drawing to a close! Since the last few episodes aired during January’s last Steven Bomb, there has been no news about when the show will return. Today the wondering comes to an end, as EW reports that season three of Steven Universe is scheduled to premiere this June after a five month hiatus! This apparently means that the last episode that aired, “Log Date 7 15 2,” was effectively the season two finale, which makes sense as it was a massive episode.

The good news does not end there! Fans of Steven Universe have grown accustomed to the show airing episodes in one week blocks (an episode a day for five days) called Steven Bombs, with months at a time between each Bomb. However, at least for this summer, the Steven Bomb style airing schedule will be done away with in favor of something the network dubbed the “Summer of Steven.” This format will consist of one episode a week from June through August!

But the good news does not even end there! Cartoon Network also announced that it renewed Steven Universe through season five! This means we have at least three more seasons of Steven Universe to look forward to! Rejoice, fellow Steven Universe fans! The cartoon gods are certainly smiling down on us today!

While there is no precise air date set for the season three premiere, keep watching our site and we’ll let you know as soon as it’s announced.

What do you think of this news? How pumped are you for the Summer of Steven!?
