In the event that you’re barely keeping together waiting for The Nut Job to hit theaters, fret no longer! Cupcake Digital is set to release an app based on the film on January 7, (ten days before the film’s release date) so you can get your fix of nutty fun before The Nut Job hits the big screen.
The interactive storyline of the app follows the general plot line of the film, as players lead Surly the squirrel on a heist of Maury’s Nut Shop to stockpile nuts for the impending winter.
The app has a starting price of $0.99, and for a full price of $1.99 also offers a storybook, interactive painting scenes from the film, and four additional games. The app will be available in the Apple App Store, Amazon Appstore, Barnes & Noble’s Nook Store, and on the Google Play platform.
The Nut Job is scheduled to hit theaters January 17.
