Walt Disney Spain couldn’t have chosen a better day to release the first clip from the new Walt Disney Animation Studio’s Mickey Mouse short Get a Horse! because it’s Mickey’s 85th birthday today! I won’t go into that too much because this article is about the new clip that Stitch Kingdom posted today.
Get a Horse! is a new Mickey Mouse short featuring the voice of Walt Disney himself. Voice recordings for this never released short were found in the Disney archives and the Disney animators that work at the studio now created a completely new short in the classic Mickey cartoon style (well sort of). Today Disney Spain released the first look at this short that will be shown in front of Frozen.
This clip shows the beautiful animation style we know and recognize from the old cartoons such as Steamboat Willy and the classic music style. I got the chance to see this short at the a screening of Frozen and I loved it, seeing this clip reminds me of how much I loved it. My review of the short will also come later this week.
Wanna see the entire short yourself? You can see it in theatres with Frozen, November 27.
