In what had been widely speculated for months, Walt Disney Animation’s revolutionary CGI/2D-animated hybrid short Paperman will open before Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph on November 2, 2012.
The short, which has been getting a lot of early positive buzz and praise, is directed by John Kahrs and seemlessly blends CGI with traditional animation has been called a “motion capture killer.”
No trailer has been released yet—probably because Disney wants to leave everyone in the dark as to what this new technique looks like, so they will pay to see it before Wreck-It Ralph. Well, let’s just say: it’s working! We can’t wait to see what this new hybrid animation looks like.
What are you more excited to see: Paperman or Wreck-It Ralph?
