[REVIEW] ‘Inside Out’ is an Emotional Roller Coaster of the Very Best Kind

In a strangely quiet and late discovery, Pixar will unveil its newest short on Good Morning America this Thursday, August 13. The short, Riley’s First Date?, takes place inside the world of Inside Out and is expected to premiere with the film’s Blu-ray.

While Stitch Kingdom broke the news of the short’s existence back in April, this is the first time Disney will officially acknowledge the project. It is unknown how much of the short will be aired. A brief description (without any publicized fanfare from Disney) on GMA‘s desktop website reads that Thursday’s broadcast will include “Riley’s First Date: Exclusive sneak peek at Disney-Pixar’s new animated short starring Riley from Inside Out.”

What does this mean? Are they simply discussing the short? Or are they Interviewing filmmakers? Will they air some footage? Tell us, GMA, tell us! Ah, well. I guess we’ll have to tune in to find out. Good Morning America airs at 7 a.m. EST on ABC.

Check out the Rotoscopers’ Inside Out episode of the Animation Addicts Podcast here.

Thanks to our Twitter friend Dylan Barenzu for the heads up!

[UPDATE 8/13/15 5:57 P.M.] Following GMA‘s broadcast, ABC officially released a clip online from the short.

Additionally, Yahoo revealed a trailer for Inside Out‘s home video release, which is now confirmed to arrive to digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere on October 13 and to Blu-ray on November 3.

Are you excited to be back with the ‘Inside Out’ gang? What do you hope to see in this new short?
