Pixar news generally attracts significant viral attention. Social media has a knack for latching onto a concept and going completely bazerk over it (even when the news is completely fake). Therefore, when Ellen DeGeneres officially announced the (real!) existence of Finding Dory on Tuesday, there was immediate, utter excitement. And lots of it.
Ellen is ecstatic, as expected. People across the globe are going coocoo for Coco Puffs with celebratory statuses galore. In fact, Stitch Kingdom reports that the words “Finding Dory” remained a top worldwide trend on Twitter for 15 consecutive hours. (Be sure to check out SK’s other interesting Pixar stats here.)
There wasn’t one conversation I’ve had since Tuesday that didn’t eventually lead to Finding Dory (and most of them were prompted by the other person). People are genuinely excited for this film. And I have a feeling Pixar won’t disappoint.
