Don Hertzfeldt’s Academy Award nominated short, World of Tomorrow is getting a sequel, and the trailer just dropped online! The new film will be titled World of Tomorrow Episode Two: The Burden of Other People’s Thoughts which is just such a brilliant title, and just so completely Hertzfeldt.
You can watch the trailer here.
I covered Hertzfeldt’s original World of Tomorrow Short in 2015 during our Oscar coverage, and I loved it far more than I ever expected to. To this day I still think it was absolutely robbed of that award! I am so excited that he’s created a follow up to that original masterpiece, and I can’t wait to have my brain melted by its inevitably weird and wonderful brilliance.
If you’ve never seen the original World of Tomorrow, it is available to stream on Netflix. I HIGHLY recommend it!
