I've watched the series and found it really pretty decent. The girls are genuinely likeable, and while the aim is obviously for the younger set, this 56-year-old ex-teacher still enjoyed it, especially the "zings" - April's genuine horror over her hair, Emily asking Brooha "You really think our hair is fabulous?" during the battle, etc etc. Makes me want to see the original version, which is probably somewhat the aim of the original studio.

I watched Smile Precure with my little sister the day it came out. We loved the show
(mostly her). About a few years later we were seeing if Sailor Moon was on Netflix. And we found Glitter Force. An anime almost exactly like Smile Precure, but worse. It only had half the episodes and it was horrible. The only name that didn't change was Candy and Pop. The real anime was so much better soooo

I've watched it before, and I have to say...I love it! Not so much as the original but I love it either way. I hate how people say it's a rip-off of Sailor Moon when they haven't even taken consideration in watching it, like, give it a chance! I'll give you some info:

Hoshizara Miyuki: A fourteen year old who loves picture books (Fantasy in particular). Like her predecessor leaders, she's a cheery, optimistic, and klutzy girl. She is Cure Happy (Glitter Lucky) or a.k.a the pink one.

Hino Akane: A girl from Osaka. Her parents own a okonomyaki shop and is in the volleyball club. She can be a bit of a jokester but can set a goal, and is very passionate about it. She is Cure Sunny (Glitter Sunny) a.k.a the orangy-red one.

Kise Yayoi: A girl in the homemaking club and aspires to be a mangaka. She's timid, shy, and a crybaby, yet she can be very loyal, diligent, and headstrong when she puts her mind into it. She is Cure Peace (Glitter Peace) a.k.a the yellow one.

Midorikawa Nao: A tomboyish girl who has to take care of many younger siblings (six in total). She's straightforward and has a strong sense of justice, although she can get frustrated when things don't go according to plan. She is also scared of heights, bugs, and ghost. She is Cure March (Glitter Spring) a.k.a the green one.

Aoki Reika: A member of the student council, archery, and art club. She is kind-hearted and elegant, but can be very frightening when she reaches her limit. Also, even though she looks very elegant in civilian form, she often has a strand out of place. She is Cure Beauty (Glitter Breeze) a.k.a the blue one.

So, how did you think of their personslity's/fun facts? Still think Smile PreCure/Glitter Force is a rip-off of Sailor Moon? Oh you do? Look at the frickin' wiki and look at the article, kay?

Uhm, no, it doesn't sound good to me. It should have stayed as "Smile PreCure!" and kept the original japanese names, but that's just me, I guess children will be less confused about it that way. And, well, I think I like how "Glitter Force" sounds but I strongly oppose to any dub that changes the title and localizes the character's names, changing it as it was a completely different series.

I can't believe the other people who commented supposedly looove animation so much but dissmiss this arc of Pretty Cure (which, by the way, has many different seasons with different characters each time and this one isn't even the first, as well as having a HUGE fanbase in Japan, where obviously Sailor Moon came from) as a rip off of Sailor Moon without knowing anything about the Pretty Cure franchise or the Magical Girl genre AND letting their nostalgia talk first. Come on.

They are pretty similar, but the Magical Girl genre isn't a new one. Sailor Moon also wasn't the first to follow this kind of formula, just one of the most well-known.
