Yeah defnietly. We know Peanuts here, but that’s mainly from the (Snoopy) merchandising. We don’t really have the comics nowadays and they never air the TV specials, so I did not grow up watching those.

Interesting. I always feel like international trailers approach content differently to play to their audience. Although Peanuts was published around the world, it is possible that Europeans are less familiar with the characters and wanted to be a bit more clear about the movie. Whereas, in America, Peanuts are kind of drilled into the public’s psyche… I know very few people who haven’t at least watched the specials. That said, it might also just be a differing approach to American marketing overall which, for lack of a better word, tends to be “messy” and all over the place. As a fan, I’m excited, but I can understand the hesitation from others.

No, I need a few more trailers, clips etc. to convince me if this is worth the trip to the movie theater. I’m just saying that the Dutch trailer was much better for people, like me, who are not familiar with the source material. It was not as messy as the US trailer and it introduced me to the characters and world of Peanuts. It gave me more faith that this might be an enjoyable film that is worth seeing on the big screen.

So basically because of the dutch trailer you do want to see it in theaters?

Well, that’s my opinion. I thought the American trailer was very messy and I didn’t like it at all. Earlier today I watched the Dutch trailer for this movie that I personally thought was much better. It was not as messy, no pop music and it made me much more excited for the movie.
