I mean, in this world, a house pet is a Pokemon, and the supposed god of the world is…also a Pokemon? Like, they fall into the same category? How does that make any sense?
Not to mention there’s SO MANY of them now, that they’re barely even special anymore. The series has a whole bunch of cool new things going for it right now (Mega Evolution, anyone?), that I wish they’d just tone down the legendary gimmick…

I think they were referring to the fact that pikachu hasn’t evolved even though it would be more powerful as a raichu and has been traveling with Ash for the longest clearly only because of the fact that he’s the mascot.

Well, according to the premise half of them are going to be fighting to save the city from the ones controlled by Hoopa unbound so thankfully they won’t be there for nothing. I do think they may have thrown in Arceus in there just for distribution to the Japanese fans since those that go to the theatrical release get a free arceus.

However, I just hope the actual story gives them a good reason to be there, other than just “let’s bring all these legendary Pokemon into the fray so we can give them away to Japanese fans and make more merch for collectors” reasons.

At least this sounds more epic than the Arceus movie ended up being, and that movie had four of the major ‘mons mentioned here in it [Arceus, Dialga, Palkia and Giratina]. *sigh* Let’s just hope that the actual movie features this big battle as a major thing and not just a less-than-5min segment that really doesn’t change anything in the plot.

But that’s just me. I like the Pokemon movies, ’tis all. 8D
