The roll of Mrs. Potts would be perfect for Emma Thompson because she wouldn’t have to wear shoes in the recording room.

In reply to Ange1Serran0. Well, that's what they've always done with their animated features as well. Snow White is German, Pinocchio is Italian and Mowgli is Indian, but their voices have always been either American or British. The target of these movies are English speaking audiencies, so naturally, Hollywood will usually go for native English speakers.

Why are do they have an all British cats? Belle was french. The movie takes place in France. Cinderella is french as well. Why is Disney making everyone British?
