Well if you guys would have done your research a little better instead of taking info from the Rise of the Guardians Wiki and making it into an article, you would have noticed that the “alternative cover” is similar to the cover you guys posted the only difference is that one has snow around Jack’s feet and in the background will the other doesn’t.

I don’t think it’s a bad thing at all. I recall Joyce mentioning how the film “Rise of the Guardians” would differ slightly from the “Guardians of Childhood” novels. Notice how Bunny looked and acted very different in the movie compared to his book-ish form and how the movie took place in the present while the books take place “long ago and far away”. Two similar but separate storylines works for me.

My first instinct was to presume that Nightlight would eventually merge/evolve into Jack Frost; or perhaps some of his powers are transferred into Jack Frost. I like the little touches of leaves in the pictures that reminds me of Jack Frost’s mythical duties include painting the leaves in autumn colors before winter arrives.

Ooh, this really does look amazing! I agree that the fact that book!Jack Frost looks like he did in the movie was probably the best thing, not only to connect it with the film [which I love for many reasons – Jack’s character being one, obviously], but to also ensure that fans of the series [books and/or the movie] would purchase the book.

I’m sure that the latter isn’t intentional, but it makes perfect sense to me. Jack’s got a lot of fans [not to mention hardcore shippers, both in his RotG canon and in others… but that’s another topic]!

Overall, I love the artwork, which is as beautiful as ever, and I’ve got to say that it’s charming me into checking it out, mostly for the art and the background story – I’m a sucker for backstories when it comes to good characters. I wouldn’t care if it’s different from his movieverse story, but if it’s connected with it, I’ll be ecstatic.

I LOVE JACK FROST!!! He was totally my fave in the movie and I love the fandom of Rise of the Brave Tangled Dragons like guys its almost PERFECT!!
(But no Frozen in it since well they were too late)

Dang, Pitch looks like a badass in this! And Jack looks perfect, straight out of the film. Really excited for this.
