I do think that The Book of Life's animation is on par with this year's best. But the story? Eeh, not so much. But The Book of Life was nominated for the Golden Globe and the Annie award, so it might land an Oscar nomination at the least. It's certainly more deserving than The Boxtrolls, IMO.

I certainly believe it should compete alongside with HTTYD2 and the Lego Movie. The animation in in the Book of Life was definitely on par with those and the story was actually pretty good. I enjoyed myself watching more than I originally thought that's for sure. While I'll admit BH6 was a great emotional flick (and by far my favorite 'marvel' movie) I still think Book of Life's animation was far more ambitious and unique, something hasn't seen in a long time and I'm glad of all the effort that was put into it from start to finish.

Well, those are my two cents, which might not be worth much on the Internet but I still stand by what I said.

What's with the lack of attention for Book of Life? First everyone was excited for it, but now it's died down. :( I'm not sure if I'm happy about this or not. Nope, I'm not.
