What really touched me is the effort and passion to bring the character to life. It’s just so beautiful how he puts it.

In reply to Tim Tran. I think Glen's point is precisely that there is nothing random whatsoever about the context into which he chooses to place his life. The producers honor his emphasis by including that quote here. Glen was quite specific and explicit and not in any sense random. At least that's what I heard in the podcast.

I liked the podcast. Glen Keane is an amazing animator and he is one of my biggest inspirations beside Walt Disney himself and some other people.

A part of me wishes that animators would join the voice actors at the front of the red carpet when animated movies make their premier. True, the voice actors contribute a lot to their character, but their role is relatively limited, only lasting a few weeks as they record their lines. Animators, on the other hand, are with these characters much longer.

I really do admire Glen Keane. It broke my heart when he retired from Disney.

Incidentally, I’ll agree on that last quote being random, but for me at least it was a pleasant surprise.
