Their coronation has been scheduled (internally only and tentatively) and postponed at least once already. The latest approximate date I’ve heard is sometime in Spring 2015, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it is postponed indefinitely because Frozen merchandise is currently outselling Disney Princess merchandise, so there is no advantage and possibly a disadvantage to having Anna and Elsa join that franchise. It’ll happen when it becomes advantageous for both brands, but nobody knows when that will be.

The whole Disney Princess thing is all about merchandise anyway–I don’t mean the characters or their movies, but that “official” list is created and maintained by Disney Consumer Products, not Walt Disney Animation Studios (and it even includes Merida, who is of course from Pixar).

Now it’s just more Anna and Elsa which equals longer lines. Oh well. Not like I’ll ever be able to afford to go anyways. (And don’t tell me it’s affordable! It’s not! I would need at least a grand to cover the flight, room, food, and transportation).
