I agree. I see it doing better than Wreck-It Ralph (at least I hope it does). I think the momentum behind Disney has picked right back up with the past two films that people are going to the theatre wanting the same enjoyable experience.

If it does just the same as Wreck-It Ralph… well that’s alright too. It’d still be considered a “hit”.

I’m not so sure Clooney was in a control room. From the scene we saw in addition to the trailer, it seemed more like he was…I’m not sure. Like a jumper? between Tomorrowland and the present world.

It’s Matthew McConaughey going into space. That should pipe people’s interest.

Yea, but Nolan fans alone aren’t going to make a movie a success. The batman movies were successful because of the huge fans of the character. Inception was successful because it had an interesting high-concept idea (traveling in dreams and stealing thoughts!). Interstellar may have Nolan’s name behind, but there’s no “hook” of the movie. All we know is that it’s a space story. And even with four trailers out, it’s hard to tell what the movie is about. Interstellar is going to have to get strong word of mouth in order to make a strong gross.

Mine too but everybody’s familiar with Nolan’s work and will go crazy for another one of his flicks. They all LOVED inception after all. This might fall under that same category.

Also I like to say about the Tomorrowland trailer. That is how you’re supposed to make teasers. Introduce a character or two and scenery without spoiling a whole lot.

Studios usually release their movies a few days earlier whenever they want to get out in front, most of the time at least. Perhaps Warner Bros. is worried about Interstellar? I would be. It’s not really capturing the public’s attention.

Holy. Cow. THAT was definitely a teaser. Cannot wait to see it!

Yeah but today’s ADD family seeing a nearly 3.5 hour space drama or a 1.5-2 hour movie based on a Marvel property. I honestly think Big Hero 6 will beat Interstellar opening weekend. I know BH6 has my money!
