So excited! I hope Australia gets this too. I had to buy my dvd’s from China as the Australian release of Sailor Moon was in volumes consisting of 5 episodes per volume, costing $20 each. However being from China my dvd collection is missing two episodes. (I swear I’m not a nerd to remember two episodes from 200 when watching them years later and releasing an event was missing … much, lol)

This news just makes the Moonie in me so TICKLED. Hopefully I’ll have the funds to own the series – including the never-released-in-the-US last season, Sailor Stars [which is actually quite good] – and not mind watching it either subbed or dubbed! Thank heavens I hear that the new releases will be truer to the original Japanese script [relationships and all!] and with a new English cast to boot! Hurrah for the year of Sailor Moon!

It’s also VERY important to note that Viz also acquired the license to the brand new Sailor Moon anime, Sailor Moon: Crystal, which begins streaming July 5 on Niconico (subtitles in various languages available). A small correction, Viz says they’ll put up 2 eps a week on Hulu/Neon Alley (though tomorrow they’ll be putting up the first 4 eps), not just 1.

But yeah, I was super excited when I heard the news. I’m a huge Sailor Moon fan and I’m saving up to get those blurays. 😀

So, when it is released in Blu-Ray and DVD (will it be the all 200 episodes then, too?), does that mean it’ll be sold in like Amazon too 😀 ? (sorry ’bout my ignorance, I’m from Finland and I’m dying to see this, and I’d really like my own copy of the Blu-Ray, since I probably can’t see them online 🙂 !)
