It’s very possible…..

Even beyond animation, a very large number of films being made are based on books, comics, plays, history, etc.

I also don’t think Tip’s hair looks Medusa-ish at all. I think it’s cute, actually, and I’m really interested in seeing how it moves on screen. I’m not expecting the animation to reach the level of Brave, but I’m interested in seeing how Dreamwork’s handles it. I think we can all agree that the hair in Legend of the Guardians was pretty stiff.

Disney are not the only ones to adapt books, Laika has made films based on books, “The boxtrolls” is the adaptation of a book. Miyazaki adapted the tale of the Little Mermaid and created Ponyo, there are many companies who adapt books. It is not something that only Disney do, they do them more often, but it does´t means that other companies can not do it

Also are all of the movies Dreamworks makes adaptations of books? Think about it: Rise of the Guardians, HTTYD(well no they took the title of the book series and gave it a new story) but really tho, even like Peabody was based off comics, now THIS is based off another book SHEESH DREAMWORKS! ADAPTING STORIES IS DISNEY’S THANG!!! OMG! COME UP WITH YOUR OWN IDEAS, PEOPLE!!!

Even though the character designs are cute, they don’t have the artistry that I like to see in animation. One thing that I’ve noticed CG animation to do sometimes is taking beauty and replacing it with cute. Not all the time (Frozen was gorgeous as well as Rise of the Guardians, among others), but more often than not, this seems to happen. I wish the character designs could have been more sophisticated, but hey, maybe that’s not what’s called for here.

I don’t know about Rihanna. She just seems a little old for the role. But then again, who knows, she could surprise us!
