Yet another sad day as Disney loses one of their finest. Claire Keane, daughter of the acclaimed Glen Keane (who worked at Disney for a whopping 38 years before retiring in 2012) has left her position as a visual development artist.
She announced her departure via Twitter on September 20th. Keane is leaving the animation studio in order to focus on writing and illustrating children’s books.
Keane contributed significantly to Tangled, and had also been a part of Frozen.
While she will be missed, we can only wish her luck with creating children’s books, and can expect some beautiful stories coming out soon if these recent Tweet is any indicator.
