Another familiar Frozen face will join the cast of Once Upon a Time this fall on ABC. Who is it? Well, let’s just say he’s got a lot of explaining to do, especially to his twelve older brothers.
That’s right, Prince Hans of the Southern Isles will be part of the Frozen story arc unfolding on the fairy tale drama during the first half of its fourth season, E Online reports. What makes this announcement extra tantalizing is previous news that these characters’ presence on OUAT takes place after the events of Frozen. Is Hans back to claim Arendelle for his own? Does he have connections to the villainous role Elizabeth Mitchell has? Is it September 28 yet?
Also noted is who will not appear: Olaf. Co-creator Adam Horowitz told E, “It wouldn’t fit, and it’s so beautiful, his story in the movie. The story we want to tell doesn’t involve trying to expand upon that, nor do we think it should.”
Filming has already begun, with this image surfaced of Queen Elsa (Georgina Haig) from Splash News.
In related news, an entrancing teaser poster (photo by Shawn Marshall) graces a building at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, happening this week. With a Once Upon a Time panel part of SDCC’s line-up, more exciting reveals are expected to be coming in hot (or, cold?) in the next few days. Stay tuned.
