On the heels of a big week of Big Hero 6 news spanning a new poster and teaser trailer comes another tidbit: Stitch Kingdom reports that one of the principal characters will have its name shortened. Clean freak Wasabi No-Ginger will now be just Wasabi.
“Background reasons” are cited as the reason for the change. As animated studios refine their films, revisions are natural, with name changes alterations all part of the process. (Lunar Larry, anyone?)
In 2013 once the Frozen teaser trailer released, the film’s news, announcements, and fun anticipation sparked alive and came fast and furious right up through release day. By the looks of things so far, the same will be the case for Big Hero 6.
